Dmsons Metal

A steel stockist’s site, rebuilt without losing a page

Dmsons gets a steady flow of enquiries from search, so the brief was a new look with nothing else touched. We rebuilt all 282 pages in Astro at the same addresses, with the same headings, copy and meta tags, and checked every product page against the old site word for word.

Product, category and blog pages come from templates, so a change lands everywhere at once. We also added a steel weight calculator that builds a quote request, and a site search that needs no outside service.

Client · A fire-safety firm in Mumbai

145 pages built from the client’s own documents

The client sent us a Word document for every page they wanted. We turned them into a 145-page site by script, with one template per page type, so products, services and industries all follow the same layout.

Each product page has its own photo, specification tiles and a clear way to ask for a quote. The old WordPress homepage loaded 73 scripts. The new one loads two.

    Every page, heading, title and image on the current site goes into one sheet before anything changes.

    Design and build

    Section by section, checked at desktop and phone widths as each one lands.

    Check against the old site

    Scripts compare copy and meta tags page by page, so nothing goes missing.

  4. 04

    Launch and hand over

    DNS, redirects and forms switched over, then the code and notes are yours.
